​"I’m tired of pretending that getting an education is just about 'studying hard.' Right now, it’s a daily battle just to get to the classroom. Between the weight of tuition I can’t carry alone and the cost of simply traveling from my front door to the campus gates, I’m being stretched to a breaking point. There are days when the math doesn’t add up an where I have to choose between a meal or the fare to get to a lecture. I’m not asking for a handout because I’m lazy; I’m asking for a bridge because I refuse to let my bank account decide my future. I have the drive, I have the grades, and I have the vision anI just don't have the funds to cover the miles between me and my degree. If you believe that a person's zip code or balance shouldn't stop them from becoming who they’re meant to be, please help me keep going. I’m doing the work; I just need help staying on the road."
